a.   The standard says the SECTIONPAGES field value is the number of the current page within the current section.

In Word, the SECTIONPAGES field value is the number of pages in the current section.

b.   The standard says that the only switches the SECTIONPAGES field can take are general-formatting-switches.

In Word, the SECTIONPAGES field can also take a numeric-formatting-switch.
