3.5 Office Well Defined Custom XML Parts

Office reads and writes a set of well-defined Custom XML Parts.  Custom XML Parts, in general, are described in Custom XML Data Storage Part ("[ISO/IEC-29500-1] §15.2.5") and Custom XML Data Properties ("[ISO/IEC-29500-1] §22.5"). In addition to implementing the relevant portions of Office Open XML File Formats [ISO/IEC-29500-1], Office understands a predefined set of schemas when applied to Custom XML Parts.

This clause and its subordinate subclauses describe the structure and content of these well-defined parts.
