a.   The Standard does not specify the format of comparison.

Word uses the following rule: comparison => expression comparison-operator expression

b.   The standard states that the left hand expression can contain ? or *  wildcard characters.

Word supports these characters in the right hand expression only.

c.   The standard does not specify any length restrictions on wildcard expansion.

In Word, if an asterisk is used in Expression-2, the portion of Expression-1 that corresponds to the asterisk plus any remaining characters in Expression-2 shall NOT exceed 128 characters.
