Enables a client application, such as Microsoft Excel 2013, to form the URL and associated parameters for a query string to display the workbook in the browser after the workbook is published to the protocol server. |

Excel Services REST Protocol |
Enables a client application to access information stored in workbooks that are maintained by a protocol server. The information returned by the protocol can be in one of several formats, such as HTML, image, and as an atom feed. This protocol client also allows for values to be inserted into cells of the workbook. |

Excel Calculation Version 2 Web Service XML |
Identifies the structure used to send a workbook from the back-end server to the front-end server; this is an XML format as described in [XMLSCHEMA]. |
