 Subclause 18.3, "<embedded SQL C program>":
  
 Without Feature X112, "Host language support for XML: BLOB mapping", conforming SQL language shall not contain a <C XML BLOB variable>.

Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2 and Microsoft SQL Server 2012 vary as follows:

Transact-SQL does not support this feature.
