3.9 MSMQTransaction Coclass Details

The MSMQTransaction object identifies an underlying transaction object that is obtained externally by using an MSMQCoordinatedTransactionDispenser object, or created internally by using an MSMQTransactionDispenser object, or by attaching to an existing transaction. The MSMQTransaction object can be used in the following ways:

• To commit or abort the transaction.

• To retrieve the underlying transaction object.

• As the Transaction argument to one of the following methods:

  • When sending messages:

    • IMSMQMessage::Send

  • When retrieving messages:

    • IMSMQQueue4::Receive

    • IMSMQQueue4::ReceiveCurrent

    • IMSMQQueue4::ReceiveFirstByLookupId

    • IMSMQQueue4::ReceivePreviousByLookupId

    • IMSMQQueue4::ReceiveByLookupId

    • IMSMQQueue4::ReceiveNextByLookupId

    • IMSMQQueue4::ReceiveLastByLookupId
