1.6 Applicability Statement

This protocol is applicable to scenarios where an OleTx TM needs to interoperate with other TIP transaction managers. The prerequisites that are provided in Prerequisites/Preconditions (section 1.5), all the prerequisites that are required for the operation of an OleTx TM (as specified in [MS-DTCO] section 1.5), and the TIP protocol (as specified in [RFC2371]) need to be satisfied for this protocol to be employed successfully.<1>
