The PCCR Discovery Protocol uses the Web Services Dynamic Discovery protocol (WS-Discovery) [WS-Discovery], which uses SOAP-over-UDP [SOAP-UDP] [RFC768] as its network transport. In the Windows Peer Content Caching and Retrieval framework, the Discovery Protocol is used by the Peer Content Caching and Retrieval: Retrieval Protocol [MS-PCCRR] to discover other peers that have specific segments of content.
