3.1.1.2 Audio Format List and Current Audio Format

A list of audio formats is sent by the client to the server in the Client Audio Formats and Version PDU. This list MUST be maintained throughout the duration of the protocol. The wFormatNo field of the Wave Info PDU, the Wave Encrypt PDU, and the UDP Wave Last PDU is an index into this list. The format located at that index is the current audio format. The current audio format MAY change during protocol operation. The index to the audio format list is zero-based, where the value 0 refers to the first format in the list.
