3.2.4.3 Application Requests Opening a File

The processing of this event is handled as specified in [MS-CIFS] sections 3.2.4.5 and 3.2.4.6, with the following additions:

The application can request that additional information be returned for the Open, in particular maximal access information. The client can issue either an SMB_COM_NT_CREATE_ANDX request or an SMB_COM_OPEN_ANDX request to make use of these extensions, as specified in section 3.2.4.3.1.<86>
