3.1.4.1 Sending an SMTP_AUTH_NTLM_Initiation_Command Message

This section defines the creation of SMTP_AUTH_NTLM_Initiation_Command messages. These NTLM messages are sent by the client when the state equals start. They SHOULD<2> contain an NTLM NEGOTIATE_MESSAGE encapsulated in the [initial response]. The encapsulation of this message is as specified in section 2.2.3.
