The WS-Management specification defines the MaxElements element, which is used to limit the number of items retrieved in a single message, as specified in [WSENUM] section 3.2.

Web Services Management Protocol Extensions for Windows Server 2003 operating system clients SHOULD ensure that the value of MaxElements is a positive integer, and not more than the value specified in the MaxBatchItems configuration setting (defined in section 2.2.4.2), when sending Pull requests.<16>
