2.1.18 Section 2.7.1, Location of Styles

The standard defines the element <office:automatic-styles>: This element is supported in WordPad. Within <office:automatic-styles>, only the following child elements are supported: <style:style> and <text:list-style>. All other elements are ignored on Read and not written out on Write or Save. For information on page layout styles, see [ODF1.1] section 14.3.

The standard defines the element <office:master-styles>: WordPad partially supports the <office:master-styles> element on Read for inheriting of writing mode attributes, which can be specified through the master page. This element is not written out when the document is saved. See the notes for [ODF1.1] section 15.5.36, element <style:paragraph-properties>, attribute name style:writing-mode, and the attribute value "page" (section 2.1.253) for details.
