Feature details

In August 2018, we released Power BI Premium Capacity Metrics app for Power BI Premium giving Power BI service admins and capacity admins visibility into the health of their Premium and Embedded capacity nodes. We have since released a few versions of the app and continue to make improvements to the experience with the following capabilities:

  • Health center: Upon opening the report, the admin will land on Health center and learn the three KPIs (capacity planning, refresh wait, and query wait) to explore through specific visualization of the relevant metrics following a troubleshooting guide to get a detailed explanations as to what the metrics mean and what can be done to mitigate the issue.

  • Support for local time in the report

  • Additional metrics: To improve report usability, effectively manage Power BI datasets, such as:

    • refresh type (scheduled/on-demand)
    • refresh wait time reasons
    • query wait reasons
    • accurate and improved refresh wait times
    • accurate and improved query wait times
