Business value

Ensure child records have appropriate access permissions if a parent record's cascading access option is changed from Cascade All to Cascade None.

Feature details

Sometimes, an organization will have the cascading option of certain entities set as Cascade All to allow access rights to be inherited. If the organization later changes this option to Cascade None, it prevents future changes, but the child entity records still have their initial inherited access. A new message API has been added to clean up those inherited access rights.

If a user makes the changes from Cascade All to Cascade None, a system job that executes the new API will be triggered automatically to clean up the entity inherited access rights.
