Business value

Users who have been granted permissions to an on-premises data gateway (but are not admins for that gateway) will be allowed to use the gateway to connect to on-premises data.

Feature details

This feature will allow non-admin users who have been granted permissions to use an on-premises data gateway to use this gateway to connect to on-premises data within:

  • Dataflows in Power Apps
  • Dynamics 365 apps (such as Customer Insights)
  • The SQL Server - Transform Data using Power Query action in Power Automate
