Business value
This feature will enable users to connect directly to their native data source through an ODBC connection, if supported. ODBC connections are widely used by current customers of Power BI and SQL Server Reporting Services.
Feature details
Power BI paginated reports will be able to connect through the on-premises data gateway to any data source with an ODBC option. This will allow customers to migrate their existing reports from SQL Server Reporting Services to the Power BI service. All customers will have a wider range of data connectivity options for their company's data sources.
