Business value

Modern work requires keeping everyone up to date and using relevant data to make decisions. By evolving the Power BI experience to make it a core part of Microsoft Teams, users have access to the data they need, when and where decisions are made.

Feature details

The Power BI experience in Microsoft Teams is becoming a core part of the platform. This includes:

  • Automatic installation of the Power BI app in Teams: Users won't need to install the app to begin leveraging Power BI-integrated capabilities. This includes the Power BI personal app, rich links to Power BI content, and integrated search.
  • Teams usage analytics powered by Power BI: Users can explore their personal chat, meeting, and channel usage data to see how they're spending their time. Because this is a simple Power BI report, they can further customize it and find even more insights.
  • Power BI notifications in Teams: Once the app is installed, users will receive relevant Power BI notifications in the Teams activity feed.
