Business value

Microsoft Dataverse is the sophisticated and secure backbone that powers Dynamics 365 and Microsoft Power Platform. Dataverse contains critical data from business applications that users explore to find insights and make business decisions. Today, this is challenging for users who aren't familiar with Power BI or data analysis in general. We're introducing a new, easy way for users to generate a Power BI report quickly and start gaining insights from the data.

Feature details

When building model-driven apps in Power Apps that store data in Microsoft Dataverse, creators need simple ways to analyze and get insights from their data. Power BI is a natural fit, but there's friction in having to download Power BI Desktop and connect to the data. To remove the friction, we're providing a one-click solution that connects your data in Dataverse with a model in Power BI. Users can choose to "Analyze in Power BI" and a report will be generated on the fly for users to start exploring.
