Business value
This feature set provides an easy, quick, and secure way of sharing datasets with business partners, customers, subsidiaries, and more. It makes it possible for guest users to work with external datasets within their own tenants and build content on top of external data in their own environments.
Feature details
Today, B2B users can log into a hosting tenant and access the datasets that have been shared with them; however, they can't connect to and work with these datasets in their own Power BI tenants. The B2B dataset sharing feature makes it possible for B2B users to discover, connect to, and work with external datasets within their own home tenants.
With this capability, B2B users can discover shared external datasets while logged into their own organization, build composite models based on these datasets, publish them to the service, and then build and share reports for these models.
