This feature supports the enhanced viewing of canvas apps in a source code friendly way in support of Application Lifecycle Management (ALM).
Feature details
Customers wanting to implement source code as the single source of truth have been struggling with Microsoft Power Platform where they aren't able to see the differences between the various canvas applications that have been persisted to source code. In the beginning of *2021, we released a preview capability and new subcommand in the Power Platform CLI that enabled the packing or unpacking of a canvas app file.
We're glad to announce that we've gotten rid of the canvas pack and unpack commands and incorporated that capability into standard solution packaging and unpackaging commands. This greatly simplifies the process of packing and unpacking canvas applications.
