Business value

Developers are provided with the required code-first tools to use the Power Platform's new pipelines capability without having to leave their favorite tooling environments. By using this new tooling, developers can realize the added value of the Power Platform's pipelines capability.

Feature details

Pipelines for Power Platform is a new product capability that enables makers to request app deployments. We'll provide developers with command line tools, Azure DevOps tasks, and GitHub Actions to enable interaction with pipelines. Code-first developers who already have sophisticated tooling will want to leverage this capability in conjunction with what they have. This capability allows for true fusion development by bringing in the citizen developer into the deployment process thereby enabling collaboration between code-first and citizen developers. During the public preview release, this feature will support command line only, while Azure DevOps and GitHub support will be available by the general availability release.
