Business value

The Power Platform Environment Settings app provides a modern, performant, accessible, secure, and extensible settings management experience. This app is intended to provide a single, unified experience for application developers to create settings for their applications.

Feature details

The Power Platform Environment Settings app replaces the legacy, web client experience by providing a single, unified experience for application developers to create settings for their applications. The Power Platform Environment Settings app provides the same security, access control, and extensibility features as the existing, legacy experience.

This release is organized into a set of incremental rollouts beginning with the replacement of the settings application itself and follows with updates. Any existing extensions that have been created by customers to extend the settings site map will be preserved and any solution imports that include extensions to settings will be honored and routed to the Power Platform Environment Settings app.

As part of the initial release of the Power Platform Environment Settings app, existing links for advanced settings from various locations in Power Platform will be redirected from the legacy Settings web client to the new Power Platform Environment Settings app.

Until this feature reaches general availability, tenant or environment administrators may turn off the advanced settings redirection to the Power Platform Environment Settings app by setting the Advanced settings redirection option to Off for an environment in the Power Platform admin center.
