This article describes the new features, improvements and fixes to existing functionality that are included in this build.

New features
An opt-in registry setting has now been introduced that launches attended/unattended flows with the full privileges of a split-token administrator account, allowing actions that require elevated rights, such as starting or stopping a Windows service, to run successfully. The setting is off by default.
The actions 'Get environment metadata' and 'Get flow metadata' have now been introduced in the 'Power Automate environment' module, allowing a desktop flow to retrieve its environment ID and name, along with its flow ID, flow name, and current subflow name.
Native support for Oracle databases has now been introduced in the Database actions, allowing 'Open SQL connection' and 'Execute SQL statement' to connect to an Oracle database in addition to the existing OLE DB/ODBC connection type. A user-provided Oracle client library is required.
The action 'Set keyboard identifier' has now been introduced in the 'Mouse and keyboard' module, allowing the active keyboard layout to be set on the machine for both attended and unattended desktop flow runs.
An in-app update experience has now been introduced in Power Automate for desktop, replacing the previous update pop-up dialogs. A dedicated 'Updates' tab in Console Settings shows whether the installation is up to date or which version is available, together with 'Update' and 'Check for updates' actions and the 'Show update notifications' preference. An attention badge on the Settings button and a notification bar at the top of the console also indicate when an update is available.
The ability to assign custom names to actions has now been introduced in the flow designer, through the context menu, the F2 shortcut, or directly from the action editor title. Custom names are also displayed in flow run logs, making actions easier to identify during authoring and troubleshooting.
The description of an action has now been moved from a banner in the action editor to an info tooltip next to the title, and a custom note can now be added to any action to record context specific to the flow.
Enhancements & Improvements
Several enhancements have taken place for the console and flow designer panes, including: the right pane in the console (Environments, Settings, and flow properties) now spans the full available height and displays a dimming overlay that closes the pane when clicked outside of it; the command bars in the UI elements and Images panes have been redesigned with a more compact layout; the background color and spacing of the right pane have been refreshed, together with the actions pane; and the left navigation, search fields, and Environments pane styling in the console now match the flow designer.
An option to delete locally stored user settings has now been introduced on the uninstall screen of Power Automate for desktop for all users of the machine. The option is off by default and runs after the uninstall has been completed.
A configurable authentication server input is now available in the CyberArk 'Get password' action, allowing deployments that use a custom CCP authentication application name to retrieve credentials without a workaround.
A new 'Overridden' filter option is now available in the variables pane, allowing variables whose default value has been replaced during the flow run to be identified quickly.
A warning message is now displayed in the 'Invoke local LLM' action editor, noting that prompts and files are sent to the configured model provider and that AI-generated responses should be reviewed before use.
Repaired functionality
The following list details issues in Power Automate for desktop that are now resolved:
An issue where the machine runtime service could enter a repeated crash-and-restart loop on certain Windows machines has now been resolved.
An issue where reapplying a Flow checker code fix for an already-removed unreachable action resulted in an error has now been resolved.
An issue where completing a UI recording while a Copilot-suggested change was still pending review could cause accepting or discarding the change to fail has now been resolved.
An issue where loading or selecting certain environments failed with an unexpected error, caused by an unrecognized privilege value returned by Dataverse, has now been resolved.
An issue where proxy auto-configuration (PAC) scripts could fail with a false out-of-memory error under concurrent runs has now been resolved, and the memory allowance for PAC scripts has been increased to 128 MB from the previous 4 MB.
An issue where a single recoverable error in the console, flow designer, machine runtime, or developer tools could repeatedly reopen the error report window, and exhaust available memory, has now been resolved.
An issue where selecting a predefined color for a region did not work has now been resolved, and region colors can now be selected directly from the action editor.
An issue where running or editing desktop flows in an organization account environment intermittently failed with an unexpected error has now been resolved.
An issue where restarting a picture-in-picture session could fail with a stale remote desktop disconnect error from the previous session has now been resolved.
An issue where closing the UI element picker while it was already closing could throw an unhandled error has now been resolved.
An issue where unattended runs with a large trigger payload could become stuck in a non-terminal state has now been resolved.
An issue where certain desktop flows using mapped credentials failed to run on cloud attended or unattended runs, with the message 'Desktop flow contains errors and cannot be run', has now been resolved.
An issue where flow run statistics displayed incorrect, and sometimes negative, run times, most notably for child flow runs, has now been resolved.
An issue where reading or writing large Excel files, such as workbooks with hundreds of thousands of rows, could fail with an out-of-memory exception has now been resolved.
Other announcements
Developer tools are now always available in Power Automate for desktop, no longer requiring an environment variable to be enabled. A 'DisableDevTools' registry setting is available for administrators who want to opt out.
The 'Display confirmation dialog when invoking flows externally' setting is now available to all organizations, including work or school accounts, no longer requiring a premium license.
