This article describes the new features, improvements and fixes to existing functionality that are included in this build.
Installer version 2.73.155.26278 - Microsoft Store version 11.2610.155.0 updates
New features
Flow templates have now been introduced in the console, allowing users to create a blank template or create one from an existing desktop flow.
The action 'Retrieve environment variables' has now been introduced, allowing users to select and retrieve multiple environment variables in a single step, with support for partial results when some values can't be retrieved.
The context options 'Enable logging' and 'Disable logging' have now been introduced for individual or selected actions in the flow designer, allowing users to reduce non-error action log output while errors continue to be logged.
Enhancements & Improvements
The selector builder now shows all available web element attributes under 'Additional attributes', allowing selectors to use page-specific attributes.
A 'Test connection' option is now available in the 'Open SQL connection' action for Oracle databases, allowing users to validate the connection before saving the action.
The action 'Test a subflow of a desktop flow' now also supports global subflows. A new 'Initial context' field allows global variables to be initialized before the test starts.
A searchable keyboard layout dropdown has now been added to the 'Set keyboard identifier' action, allowing users to select a supported layout by name while existing flows retain their saved identifiers.
Error details for Work Queue actions now include a limited copy of the service response when it can't be read in the expected format, providing more information for diagnosing the failure.
Administrators can now configure a machine-wide storage location for action run logs across the console, flow designer, and machine runtime.
Repaired functionality
The following list details issues in Power Automate for desktop that are now resolved:
An issue where certain loop-based actions and subsequent actions appeared disconnected in Flowchart view has now been resolved.
An issue where environment variable dependencies could fail after importing a desktop flow in a solution to another environment has now been resolved.
An issue where the console could close when opening an empty flows list at certain window sizes has now been resolved.
An issue where parallel child-flow branches could incorrectly report recursion when calling the same child flow has now been resolved.
An issue where multiline descriptions in the 'Run .NET script' action caused an unhandled error has now been resolved.
An issue where some desktop flows couldn't be opened when their action summaries couldn't be rendered has now been resolved.
An issue where transient service errors weren't retried when loading paginated flows, connections, policies, or version history has now been resolved.
An issue where the troubleshooter incorrectly reported that a Power Automate browser extension wasn't installed in Chromium-based browsers has now been resolved.
An issue where editing a desktop flow's properties in the console could cause some flow settings and action-related information to be lost has now been resolved.
An issue where the 'Run .NET script' action could fail during unattended runs because a required component couldn't be loaded has now been resolved.
An issue where the 'Send an HTTP request to SharePoint' action failed when a successful response contained a single value or plain text has now been resolved.
Several accessibility issues in the flow designer and Flowchart view have now been resolved, improving screen reader announcements, keyboard focus, shortcut identification, contextual information, breakpoint state descriptions, and support for larger text sizes.
An issue where notes couldn't be added or edited in the 'If' and 'Switch' dialogs in Flowchart view has now been resolved.
An issue where cloud service requests could fail for Windows accounts or domains containing non-ASCII characters has now been resolved.
An issue where bracket notation on a reassigned custom object property could incorrectly prevent flow validation has now been resolved.
An issue where actions in a local subflow wrote results intended for global variables to the local scope, potentially causing incorrect values or a flow designer error, has now been resolved.
An issue where a web selector containing backslash characters could pass 'Test' but fail after 'Use selector' in AI-assisted UI automation repair has now been resolved.
