Description

The Add-CMWebApplicationDeploymentType cmdlet adds a web application deployment type to an application.

Note

Run Configuration Manager cmdlets from the Configuration Manager site drive, for example PS XYZ:\>. For more information, see getting started.

Examples

Example 1: Add a web application deployment type

PS XYZ:\>Add-CMWebApplicationDeploymentType -Url "https://www.contoso.com" -ApplicationName "testweb" -DeploymentTypeName "DT1" -AddLanguage "en-US","zh-CN" -Comment "New Deployment Type"

This command adds the web application deployment type named DT1 from the specified URL to the application named testweb in English and Chinese.

Example 2: Add a web application deployment type by using the pipeline

PS XYZ:\> Get-CMApplication -Name "testweb" | Add-CMWebApplicationDeploymentType -Url "https://www.contoso.com" -DeploymentTypeName "DT1" -AddLanguage "en-US","zh-CN" -Comment "New Deployment Type"

This command gets the application object named testweb and uses the pipeline operator to pass the object to Add-CMWebApplicationDeploymentType. Add-CMWebApplicatinDeploymentType adds a web application deployment type named DT1 from the provided URL in English and Chinese.
