Description
The Add-CMWindowsAppxDeploymentType cmdlet adds a Windows app package deployment type to an application.
Note
Run Configuration Manager cmdlets from the Configuration Manager site drive, for example PS XYZ:\>
. For more information, see getting started.
Examples
Example 1: Add a Windows app package deployment type
PS XYZ:\>Add-CMWindowsAppxDeploymentType -ApplicationName "Application1" -DeploymentTypeName "DT1" -ContentLocation "\\Server1\Resources\Applications\appx\sccm_custom.appx" -AddLanguage "en-US","zh-CN" -Comment "New Deployment Type" -SlowNetworkDeploymentMode DoNothing -ContentFallback -TriggerVpn
This command adds the Windows app package deployment type named DT1 from the specified location to the application named Application1 in English and Chinese. Specifying the TriggerVpn parameter indicates that a VPN connection is used.
Example 2: Add a Windows app package deployment type by using the pipeline
PS XYZ:\> Get-CMApplication -Name "Application1" | Add-CMWindowsAppxDeploymentType -DeploymentTypeName "DT1" -ContentLocation "\\Server1\Resources\Applications\appx\sccm_custom.appx" -AddLanguage "en-US","zh-CN" -Comment "New Deployment Type" -SlowNetworkDeploymentMode DoNothing -ContentFallback -TriggerVpn
This command gets the application object named Application1 and uses the pipeline operator to pass the object to Add-CMWindowsAppxDeploymentType. Add-CMWindowsAppxDeploymentType adds a Windows app package named Dt1 from the specified location in English and Chinese. Specifying the TriggerVpn parameter indicates that a VPN connection is used.
