Description

Use this cmdlet to enable optional features for the site. For more information, see Enable optional features from updates.

If a pre-release feature isn't enabled for the hierarchy, the cmdlet fails with an error message.

If the feature is already enabled for the site, the cmdlet returns a warning message.

Note

Run Configuration Manager cmdlets from the Configuration Manager site drive, for example PS XYZ:\>. For more information, see getting started.

Examples

Example 1: Get a feature and enable it

This example uses the Get-CMSiteFeature cmdlet to get the Task Sequence Debugger feature. It then passes that object through the pipeline to enable it.

Get-CMSiteFeature -Fast -Name "Task Sequence Debugger" | Enable-CMSiteFeature
