Description

The Set-IpamServerInventory cmdlet modifies the properties of an infrastructure server in an IP Address Management (IPAM) server inventory. Use the server name or fully qualified domain name (FQDN) to identify the server. If you only specify the server name, IPAM tries to resolve the server name.

Examples

Example 1: Modify the properties of a server

PS C:\> Set-IpamServerInventory -Name "Dhcp01" -ManageabilityStatus Managed -PassThru

This command modifies the properties of an infrastructure server named Dhcp01, and makes it manageable by IPAM.

The command includes the PassThru parameter, so it displays results to the console.

Parameters

Specifies custom configuration to add to the server inventory.

-AsJob

Runs the cmdlet as a background job. Use this parameter to run commands that take a long time to complete.

The cmdlet immediately returns an object that represents the job and then displays the command prompt. You can continue to work in the session while the job completes. To manage the job, use the *-Job cmdlets. To get the job results, use the Receive-Job cmdlet.

For more information about Windows PowerShell background jobs, see about_Jobs.
