The get_bitRate method retrieves the current bit rate being received.

Syntax

Parameters

plBitRate

[out] Pointer to a long containing the bit rate.

Return Values

The method returns an HRESULT. Possible values include, but are not limited to, those in the following table.

Return code	Description
S_OK	The method succeeded.

Remarks

The value retrieved by this method is a combination of the bit rates of both video and audio streams.

Requirements

Version: Windows Media Player 9 Series or later.

Header: Include wmp.h.

Library: Use wmp.dll.
