IWMPSyncDevice2::setItemInfo

The setItemInfo method specifies an attribute value for a device.

Syntax

Parameters

bstrItemName

[in]  BSTR specifying the name of the attribute on which to set the new value. For supported attribute names, see Remarks.

bstrVal

[in]  BSTR specifying the new value. For information about supported values, see Remarks.

Return Values

The method returns an HRESULT. Possible values include, but are not limited to, those in the following table.

Return code Description
S_OK The method succeeded or a partnership exists.

Remarks

The following table lists the supported attributes.

Attribute Description
PercentSpaceReserved Limits the amount of device storage that Windows Media Player uses for file synchronization by specifying a portion of the storage as reserved. The value is a numeric percentage of total storage on the device represented by a string (BSTR). Supported values range from "0" to "95".

Use of this attribute is permitted only for devices with which Windows Media Player has a partnership.

Windows Media Player 10 Mobile: This method is not supported.

Version: Windows Media Player 11.
