Restricted System Resources (SP Only)

The following system resources can only be accessed by applications that are assigned the privileged trust level. For information about trust levels, see Application Trust Levels.

Registry Keys

Applications that are assigned the privileged trust level can read, modify, and create registry keys and values.

Note   Applications that are assigned the unprivileged trust level can only read the keys and values.

Files

All files that are marked with the system files System attribute are read and write protected by default. Applications that are assigned the privileged trust level can read and write to files.

Note   Applications that are assigned the unprivileged trust level can only read the files.
