The following interfaces are used with the Input Panel.

| IIMCallbackEx | The input panel gives an input method a pointer to IIMCallbackEx through the IInputMethod interface. The input method (IM) calls the methods in IMCallback to send keystrokes to the current application and to change the icon that displays on the Input Panel button. The following table describes the methods in IIMCallBackEx. |
| IInputMethodEx | IInputMethodEx is implemented by the input method (IM) component. The input panel calls the IInputMethodEx interfaces to notify the IM of state changes and to request action and information from the IM. |
