Party Mode Architecture

Windows Party Mode for Windows Media Player is a stand-alone executable file that hosts the Windows Media Player ActiveX control. When Party Mode is started, a full-screen skin that hosts the Windows Media Player ActiveX control is displayed. The control implements only some of the skin interfaces of the Windows Media Player Software Development Kit (SDK), thus limiting the available Party Mode skin functionality. The Party Mode program implements some skin interfaces to replace this missing functionality. When creating skins for Party Mode, be sure that you understand the limitations of the Party Mode skin model.
