cdf_EntityMigrationInfo Table

The cdf_EntityMigrationInfo table specifies information about the migration process for each of the entities.

Do not change this table directly. Instead, use the stored procedures provided as part of the Microsoft CRM Data Migration Framework to modify values in the table. Using the stored procedures helps protect you from making changes that will cause your migration to fail. For more information about the stored procedures, see Appendix A, "CDF Database Stored Procedures," in the Microsoft Business Solutions CRM Data Migration Framework Guide.

The following table shows the attributes in the cdf_EntityMigrationInfo table.

cdf_EntityMigrationInfo table attribute
Description of attribute
EntityId The primary key for the entity.
EntityName The name of the entity.
ObjectTypeCode The number that Microsoft CRM uses for this entity. See ObjectTypeCodeValues.
IsCustomizable Indicates whether this entity is customizable in Microsoft CRM. Do not change this value.
SourceCount Specifies the number of records that exist in the CDF database for the entity. After you extract and cleanse your data and then consolidate the data from each data source into the CDF database, run the p_cdf_UpdateSourceCount stored procedure for each entity. This procedure counts the number of records available for the entity for migration and stores the number in this attribute.
TestBatchCount Used in test migrations to set how many records from the entity are to be imported into Microsoft CRM when you run the CDF Migration Tool.

To set the value for TestBatchCount, use the p_cdf_SetTestBatchCount stored procedure.

To reset this attribute when you are done testing and ready to do a full import, use p_cdf_SetTestBatchCount to set this attribute to 0, or use p_cdf_ClearAllTestBatchCounts or p_cdf_Reset to reset TestBatchCount for all entities.

DestinationCount Specifies the number of records that have been successfully migrated to Microsoft CRM for the entity. This attribute is a count of the DestinationId values in the cdf_<entity>_info table for the entity. It is computed by the CDF Migration Tool during each migration. By comparing this value to the SourceCount value, you can determine the percentage of records successfully migrated.
NotProcessed Specifies the number of records that are not imported into Microsoft CRM for the entity. The CDF Migration Tool updates this value.
MigrationCode Specifies whether or not this entity should be migrated. By default, all entities except ActivityParty have a MigrationCode of 1, which means they will be migrated. The data for cdf_ActivityParty is migrated as part of migrating cdf_Activity, so it is controlled by the value of MigrationCode for Activity.

If you do not want a specific entity to be migrated, use the p_cdf_SetEntityMigration stored procedure to change the value for that entity to 0.

Note   If you change this value, be careful to not break dependencies. For example, if you try to migrate Annotations without migrating the entity with which each annotation is associated, the migration will fail.

MigrationOrder Specifies the order in which to migrate this entity. The CDF Migration Tool follows the migration order specified by this attribute so that it can preserve dependencies. Changes to values in this attribute are not recommended.
