Saving and Copying Errors

If you are unable to save a workflow process or changes to a folder, you might not have the correct permissions on the Exchange folder. The folder also might have been renamed or deleted.

Unable to save Workflow Process

You do not have permission to edit this item. Please check your permissions and try again.

To solve this problems

  • Make sure you have owner permissions on the folder, which is required to save a workflow process or properties for the workflow-enabled folder. Contact your Exchange Server administrator to change folder permissions.
  • Make sure the folder has not been deleted or renamed.
  • Make sure the Exchange server is running.
  • Check the server event log for possible details about the error.

A Workflow Process named ' ' already exists

A Workflow Process named <workflow process name> already exists. Do you want to replace it?

You cannot have two workflow processes in a folder with the same name. When copying a workflow process, the Workflow Designer for Exchange Server checks to make sure the workflow process name is unique. If it is not unique, this error message is displayed. You can choose to replace the existing workflow process or to cancel the copy action.

To solve this problem

  • Cancel the copy action, rename the workflow process (so it is unique within the Exchange folder), and try again.
  • Click Yes to replace the existing file.
