Synchronization Safeguards Team Foundation Server tracks ambient information about whether you have the latest version of a given file. This is intended to provide glance-able status about your workspace. In addition, Team Foundation Server has a safeguard to prompt you when you access an out-of-date file in your local workspace. Figure 1 illustrates the prompt that you get when accessing a file that is out of date.
