Registry Operations

Registry operations include basic management operations, such as reading from and writing to the registry. However, if you have a hive-based registry, registry management must include managing registry flushing, the functionality that periodically copies the registry data to persistent storage.

Often, basic operations are performed programmatically, using the registry OS functions. For more information about these functions, see Registry Reference.
