Windows Server AppFabric Caching Service Configuration Store Dialog Box

This page enables you to configure and create the SQL Distributed Cache configuration database, including defining the connection string to the configuration database. When you click Next in the AppFabric Caching Service Configuration Store dialog box, the AppFabric Caching Service configuration database will be created, and a popup with the results of the operation will be displayed.

Register and Create Database

Description

Register AppFabric Caching Service configuration database

Select to register the configuration database identified by the connection string by adding its configuration to the root Web.config file. You can check this check box even if Create AppFabric Caching Service configuration database is not checked. Do so if the database is already created.

Create AppFabric Caching Service configuration database

Select to create the configuration database and to specify the connection string.

Connection String

The following controls specify the connection string to be used to access the AppFabric Caching Service configuration Database.

Server

Enter the name of the computer that the database is on.

Database

Enter the name of the database to be created for storing the AppFabric Caching Service configuration, or select an existing database from the list.
