How to Install Additional Providers Page

Additional third-party distributed cache configuration providers can be installed by running the setup program created by the third-party distributed cache provider vendor. The new providers will be included in the Caching Service configuration provider list box only after the new provider has been installed on the system. Refer to your third-party documentation for more details on how to install the provider.

After the provider has been correctly installed, it will be available from the Caching Service configuration provider drop-down list. Selecting the provider and clicking on the Configure… button will launch the third-party configuration UI for your selected distributed cache provider.

Note

Monitoring, persistence, and distributed cache providers use different provider technologies and require you to install independent providers for each technology. Installing a provider for the distributed cache does not mean that the provider will be available for monitoring or persistence.
