Missing IIS 7 Manager for Remote Administration
Before proceeding, you can install the IIS 7.0 Manager for Remote Administration.
Note
The IIS 7.0 Manager for Remote Administration is required for managing remote IIS servers. It is not included in the Windows Vista or Windows 7 operating systems. It is automatically installed with the Windows Server 2008 or Windows Server 2008 R2 operating systems.
To install the IIS 7.0 Manager for Remote Administration
Go to the IIS Manager for Remote Administration download site (https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=182018).
In the bottom right-hand corner, find the appropriate language and click on your platform (for example, x86).
Click Run, and then click Run again.
Note
The IIS Management Console is required for managing remote IIS servers. If IIS Management Console is not installed, do so by opening the Control Panel, clicking Programs and Features, clicking Turn Windows Features On or Off, and selecting the IIS Management Console under Internet Information Services and Web Management Tools.
When the Internet Information Services (IIS) 7 Manager Setup Wizard opens, click Next.
On the End-User License Agreement page, accept the terms and then click Next.
On the Destination Folder page, browse to the location where you want to install the IIS Manager to, and then click Next.
On the Ready to install Internet Information Services (IIS) 7 Manager page, click Install.
When installation is complete, click Finish.
