Issue

This computer hosts roles other than AppFabric Caching.

Impact

The performance of AppFabric Caching can be negatively affected by the presence of other roles. If other services on a cache host use an unexpected amount of physical memory, it is possible for the cache host to experience throttling due to memory constraints. It is also possible that other services could use a disproportionate amount of other resources, such as CPU or network bandwidth, which result in poor performance of the cache cluster.

Resolution

Use a dedicated machine to host the AppFabric Caching Service.
