IDeploymentOperations.GetPackageBySlotAsync Method (String, DeploymentSlot, DeploymentGetPackageParameters, CancellationToken)

 

Asynchronously retrieves a cloud service package for a deployment based on where the application is deployed. The package files are stored in Azure Blob Storage.

  • serviceName
    Type: System.String

    The name of the cloud service from which the package should be retrieved.

Return Value

Type: System.Threading.Tasks.Task<OperationStatusResponse>

An OperationResponse object that includes an HTTP status code and request ID.

Remarks

The following package files are placed in storage:

  • Service configuration file - The cloud service configuration file (.cscfg) provides configuration settings for the cloud service and individual roles, including the number of role instances.

  • Service package - The service package (.cspkg) contains the application code and the service definition file.
