Transports and Message Formats Supported for a Bridge

This topic lists the message formats currently supported by BizTalk Services bridges.

Supported Message Formats

For the current release, the XML bridge supports processing the following message formats:

• SOAP messages over HTTP, FTP, or SFTP.

• POX (Plain Old XML) messages over HTTP, FTP, or SFTP.

• Flat files over HTTP, FTP, or SFTP. Flat file support is available only for XML One-Way Bridge. For more information, see Flat-file Support In One-Way Bridge.
