Internet domain management in Azure AD

When you sign up for Azure Active Directory (AD), you are issued a domain name that you can use with the service; for example, contoso.onmicrosoft.com. But you can also add your own custom domain names to Azure AD and thus personalize your email addresses and instant messaging addresses, or host websites.

If your organization already has a custom domain name that was purchased at an online domain name registrar, as an administrator, you can add this domain to your Azure AD tenant to use with all of the Microsoft online services that you have subscribed to.
