Azure Security Center monitors your Azure environment and creates Security alerts when threats are detected. In addition, alerts are automatically collected from connected partner solutions.

Users can view these alerts in Azure Security Center and change the status, for example dismissing alerts that have been addressed. For more information on managing alerts through the Azure Security Center portal, please see Managing and Responding to Security Alerts in Azure Security Center

You can also use the Azure Security Resource Provider REST APIs to retrieve and update the status of security alerts programmatically. Using the REST APIs, you can integrate Azure Security Center alerts into existing security monitoring dashboards, security information and event management systems, and other incident management solutions.
