Project History Options Dialog Box (Explorer and Plug-in)
Allows you to set history options for a project.
Dialog Box Access
In Visual SourceSafe Explorer, select a project. On the Tools menu, click Show History.
Note
You can specify whether this dialog box is displayed by using the Command Dialogs tab in the SourceSafe Options dialog box.
In Visual Studio, select an item in Solution Explorer. On the File menu, click Source Control, then click History.
- From
Specifies the date or label with which the history report begins. Use the prefix D to indicate a date and/or time, for example, "D02/29/95;12:15". Dates can be entered in MM.DD.YY, MM-DD-YY, or MM/DD/YY format, but not in the traditional text format, for example, August 15, 1995. Use the prefix L to indicate a label, for example, "Lbeta1".
- Include file histories
Displays file histories as part of the project history.
- Include Labels
Displays labels with file histories.
- Labels Only
Displays labels only, if you have selected the Include file histories check box. You can use the Labels only check box with the From and To boxes to find all files with the specified label.
- OK
Displays the History of Project dialog box, showing the version history of the project you select.
- Only show this dialog when the Shift key is down
Specifies that this dialog box will not be displayed unless you hold down the SHIFT key when you select the Show History or History command.
- Recursive
Includes subprojects and all the files in the subprojects.
- To
Specifies the date or label with which the history report ends. For date and label formats, see From.
- User
Specifies that the returned history should include only items worked on by the specified user.
