How to: Add a Connector Map (DSL Explorer)

In DSL Explorer, you can map shapes to domain classes and domain relationships from the Diagram node. The following procedure demonstrates how to map a connector element, which is located under the Diagram Elements swimlane, and a domain relationship, which is located under the Classes and Relationships swimlane.

Note

You can also perform mapping by using the Diagram Element Map item in the Toolbox for the Domain-Specific Language Designer. For more information, see How to: Map Elements By Using the Diagram Element Map Tool.

To add a connector map from DSL Explorer

  1. In DSL Explorer, right-click the Diagram node, and click Add New ConnectorMap.

The Pick ConnectorMap relationship and connector dialog box appears.

  2. In the Relationship list, click the domain relationship that you want to map.

  3. In the Connector list, click the connector that you want to map.

The mapping is added to the Connector Maps node, which is under the Diagram node in DSL Explorer. The mapping is also reflected on the diagram as a mapping line between the domain relationship and the connector that you specified.

  4. Click the new map under the Connector Maps node, and set the mapping details in the DSL Details window. For more information, see Defining Element Mapping Details.

    Note

If the DSL Details window is not visible, click DSL Details on the DSL Designer toolbar.
