Uninstalling Applications using Microsoft ActiveSync

4/19/2010

The ActiveSync Application Manager displays a list of applications installed on the Windows Mobile device that the user can remove.

How to remove an application using ActiveSync

  1. From the ActiveSync main menu, click Tools, and then double-click Add or Remove Programs.

All applications on the device appear in a list with a check box to the left of each application in that list. A selected check box indicates that the application is installed on the device, or has a desktop component that is installed.

  2. Clear the check box next to the application to remove it from the device.

If the application has a desktop component, that item remains in the list, but its check box remains cleared. If the application does not have a desktop component, clearing the check box removes the application from both the list and the device.

    Note

Alternatively, you can highlight an application in the list, and then click the Remove button at the bottom of the screen to remove the application and any desktop components from the device.
