INPUT TYPE=radio XHTML Element
A version of this page is also available for

The INPUT TYPE=radio element creates a radio button control. This is an inline element and does not require a closing tag.
Use a radio button control to limit a user's selection to a single value within a set of values. To do this, you must group each button in a set of radio buttons by assigning each button the same name. When a user submits a form, a selected radio button generates a name or value pair in the form data only if the button has a value.
Note
If a radio button is in a group and the button has no value, the button name is submitted without a value.
